Hybrid Power Resources

Powering Remote Communities

Successful development and delivery of power projects in remote locations requires more than appropriate technology selection. The real obstacles to success are usually a combination of social, cultural, political and regulatory factors. This free download discusses technology and project delivery considerations for remote power projects.

EPCM – Delivery alternative to EPC

The EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) or lump sum turn-key delivery model is the most common way that renewable energy developers engage contractors to deliver their Solar, Wind, Battery or Hybrid power projects. For large and technically complex projects an EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) approach may offer developers and IPPs an alternate way to take a more hands on approach to manage project risk, reduce capex and engage smaller renewable specialist contractors and consultants. This free download discusses the EPCM delivery approach and its applicability to renewable energy projects.

Battery Value Streams

There is a lot of media attention currently on batteries and other energy storage. Some believe they are the solution to sustainable integration of renewable energy into the grid. Others state they are not commercially viable and will not be able to be installed in sufficient capacity to support the grid. This free download is a discussion of current and future battery value streams, which is focused on batteries in commercial buildings, but it equally applicable to residential batteries or utility batteries installed independently or with a renewable energy power plant.

Hybrid Systems

Hybrid Systems are power systems with more than one form of generation. This brief data sheet provides an overview of considerations when choosing a generation mix and considering the feasibility of a hybrid generation system.

Nova Solar Farm Case Study

Zenith Pacific developed a 6MW solar farm at IGO’s Nova mine site. Circular Solutions was engaged as the EPC contractor to design and build the solar farm. This download is a case study of the project.
